Craig Vitter first started writing software in the early 1980’s on his family’s TI-99/4A. Although he fully intended to make a living as an artist, the discovery of the black hole known as the Internet in 1993 ensured that Craig would never quite escape the gravitational well of software development. Today Craig works as a Solutions Architect at Basho Technologies, the makers of the open source Riak KV (Key Value) and Riak TS (Time Series) NoSQL databases, and actively contributes code to the open source community including the Riak TS JDBC driver.
