Session: Open-Source by Everyone

Everyone can contribute to open-source. One detractor of open-source engagement in a project or community is lack of knowledge about what to contribute. This interactive talk will show how everyone can contribute to open source. It will highlight how we contribute open-source across a continuum of technical expertise. Non-coders and open-source newbies can contribute through documentation, design, improving aesthetics, fundraising, and championing projects. Non-technical contributors can find roles organizing events and support community building. Examples will work across 4 columns of technical expertise ending in the most detailed levels of contribution.
